Frederic Remington became the foremost turn of the-century illustrator, painter, and sculptor who made a specialty of depicting Native Americans, cowboys, soldiers, horses, and other aspects of life on the plains. The illustrations of Frederic Remington were printed in such popular magazines as Harper’s Weekly and Scribner’s Magazine. In 1895 he created The Broncho Buster, the first of his well known bronze sculptures. The Remington Art Museum in New York, contains an important collection of his paintings, illustrations, and bronze statues. Frederic Remington produced nearly 3,000 drawings and paintings, 25 sculptures, and eight volumes of writings throughout his career.
