Jim Warren is an American artist born November 24, 1949 in Long Beach, California best known for record album and book cover illustrations. He has worked in surrealistic fantasy since about 1969. He has collaborated on paintings with marine life artist Wyland, artist Michael Godard, and Walt Disney Studios. A self-taught artist, Jim Warren uses traditional oil paint and brushes on stretched canvas creates magical, color-filled masterpieces that have made him one of today's most sought-after and prolific artists. In the mid 90′s he began painting famous actors and incorporating celebrities and friends into his work referring to the works as “personalized paintings”. Jim Warren painted Juliette Lewis, Wyland and Michael Parnell (CEO of Oakley Sunglasses) during this period.

Jim Warren was brought on by Disney Studios in the 2002 to paint characters with his own unique interpretations, and continues doing so to this day. In 2004, his collaborations with Disney were released as fine art prints. In 2009 he began painting celebrities for the Fame Wall project in New York and Hollywood, painting portraits and unveiling them with the likes of The Beach Boys, John Stamos, Kelsey Grammar, Kristen Chenowith, Brooke Shields and others. You've probably have seen his art even if you don't know it, for Warren has been commissioned to create billboards, award-winning album covers, set props for TV, and book covers, in addition to his own personal creations across the country over the last several decades.

Jim Warren, inspired by Salvador Dali, Warren combines razor-sharp Realism with gorgeously whimsical Impressionism, Pop Art, Surrealism, you name it, Warren has absorbed many impressions and influences to create a style all his own. Warren’s partnerships only expanded from there. Also in 2009, Warren partnered with fellow artist Michael Godard to create a series of paintings that blended Warren’s alluring style with Godard’s lighthearted art. “Collaborating with Godard was fun and very smooth, as I would simply think of a theme that is something I have painted similar, but we would think of fun ways his whimsical olives and martini glasses can interact within my painting as if they stepped into my world,” Warren says
