Todd Goldman Artist Biography and Art Gallery Collection

Collection: Todd Goldman Artist Biography and Art Gallery Collection

Todd Goldman is an American Pop Artist who bridges humorous catch phrases alongside ambrosial animation creating works full of vivacity and flair. His work is highly sought after by art enthusiasts from all around the world. Although Todd Goldman began painting in high school, he didn't pursue his artistic interests until years later. Instead, he earned a degree in accounting from the University of Florida and worked as a CPA for six years followed by a handful of odd jobs. Frustrated with the state of things, Goldman began to doodle just as he had when he was younger: making fun of the world through his stupid doodles. After six months, Goldman had collected enough designs to start David & Goliath in 2000, an apparel company based on his doodles. In 2005 Todd Goldman authored a book entitled "Boys Are Stupid, Throw Rocks at Them!" which was also translated into Russian. Goldman released a "Boys Are Stupid - The Game" based on his artwork by the same name. Todd Goldman also released "Stupidopoly", a trading game. Also in 2005, Todd Goldman started selling art in the Jack Gallery in Los Angeles, California. In June 2007 Goldman began working with FOX on a show entitled "The Uglies", about the ugliest family in the world. He released "Girls Are Weirdos But They Smell Pretty" in fall of 2007. In 2008, Todd Goldman teamed up with Ashton Kutcher and Kutcher's production partner Jason Goldboro to design an animated original series as seen through the eyes of a group of teenage girls called "BLAHgirls.com".

Todd Goldman, on July 11, 2008, opened his own gallery, Pop Factory in West Hollywood, California. Since the gallery's opening Goldman has sold paintings to Jessica Simpson, Rhianna, Paul McCartney, John Goodman and the Wayan brothers (Marlon, Shawn and Keenen Ivory). Jessica Simpson spent $1000 on a framed lithograph reading, "You say I'm a bitch like it's a bad thing.". Rhianna spent $35,000 in a single trip to the Jack Gallery in Los Angeles in 2009. One of the paintings she purchased said, "Fat kids are harder to kidnap.". A painting which Goldman says is him making fun of society's obsession with being thin. Tori Spelling gave her son a copy of Goldman's "Girls are Weirdos but They Smell Pretty" book. Todd Goldman released two children's books in 2009 with Random House Publishing titled "The Zoo I Drew" and "Animal Soup". Mark Goldman's artwork is exhibited and collected all around the world. Goldman usually has at least ten art shows in a year, from Los Angeles to London to Japan.
