Nick Andrew is a British artist who's home and studio is in part of a watermill on the upper reaches of the River Wylye in South Wiltshire, England. By using bright colors and masterful brush strokes, creates exquisite landscapes that come to life. Nick Andrew grew up "immersed in the landscape" in his home in Oxfordshire, England. Though his teachers complained that Andrew "lived in a world of his own," this ability to daydream and paint pictures in his mind set him on the path to be the great artist that he is today. When Nick Andrew was of age, he studied art extensively; he studied art and design at Oxford Brookes, graphic design at the London College of Printing, and fine art at Cheltenham College of Art. Andrews's talents were quickly recognized. In 1983, he won the Lloyd Bank Young Printmaker Prize, which prompted him to focus solely on his painting career. The paintings of Nick Andrew still show his love of nature, as he often paints colorful landscapes.

Nick Andrew paints using acrylic on canvas, paper and board with bold, vigorous brush strokes and vibrant colors to capture a sense of the atmosphere and the movement, patterns, textures and contrasts which he finds inspiring in these beautiful surroundings. Through his paintings he aims to express the vitality and freshness of the natural world and his own quiet, solitary involvement with the landscape.Along with being a painter, Andrew is also an art teacher, and he takes great joy in seeing his students develop as artists. Over the past decade he has worked on commissions for St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London; P&O; BHHI Hospital, London; Royal London Hospital; Broadgate Estates; Barnet Hospital; Prudential Assurance; Lloyds Bank, Salisbury Hospital; HQ Properties; St. Georges Hospital, Tooting; Tatchbury Mount Hospital, Southampton. Nick has paintings in a range of public and private collections including Scottish Equitable, Shell UK, Lloyd’s Bank, Weetabix, North Sea Ferries, Cable and Wireless, Hilton International, Texaco, Hampshire County Council, Houses of Parliament, Longleat Estate, Sainsburys plc, Prudential Assurance. Nick was the founder and, until 2013, the coordinator for the Wylye Valley Art Trail, the largest visual arts event in Wiltshire, involving over 280 artists and craftspeople. Nick Andrew has had many exhibitions of his own work in the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States.
