Salute (2000) by Tom Everhart is a Limited Edition Fine Art Collectible Lithograph Print on Acid Free, Archival Quality Enameled Paper Plate Signed by the Artist. Bereaved by Charles Schulz's death in February 2000, Everhart created this special piece, released in October 2000 - the 50th Anniversary of the first publication of the "Peanuts" comic strip. This Lithograph was Limited to only 9,500 Prints, plus 100 Artist Proofs and all the Plates used to create this image have been destroyed. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Tom Everhart is the only artist with full creative rights to the "Peanuts" characters created by Charles M. Schulz (1922 –2000).  In 1980, he was introduced to cartoonist Charles M. Schulz at Schulz's studios.  A few weeks prior to their meeting, Tom Everhart found himself involved in a freelance project that required him to draw and present Peanuts renderings to Schulz's studios. He blew up some of the Schulz's strips on wall in his studio, which eliminated the perimeter lines of the cartoon box, and left only the marks of the cartoonist. This enabled him to reproduce the line art almost exactly which so impressed Schulz at their meeting that Tom Everhart it began their ongoing relationship of friendship and eventual exclusivity.
