Tracy Taylor Artist Biography and Art Gallery Collection
Tracy Taylor is a water color and oil painting artist currently in San Luis Obispo, California. She has been painting since the age of 14. Other than being a waitress for a year, it’s the only life she has ever known. Watercolors of Tracy Taylor have been delighting collectors for over thirty years. Her luminous fishes and birds put her on the art world map, and her fruitful collaboration with Wyland yielded an amazing array of wonderful sea-life paintings that are enjoyed worldwide. Always productive, the artwork of Tracy Taylor has been featured in galleries and private collections from Paris to Tokyo.
The subjects in a Tracy Taylor piece range from a nod to Cupid’s Hot Dogs, to bright floral and nature musings, to her long-held interest in typewriters. Tracy loves painting typewriters, fascinated by the creativity that bounces off the keys. The inspiration for some of her most famous work came from living in Hawaii. There her fascination with marine wildlife was born, particularly her interest in tropical fish. Original paintings of Tracy Taylor are in many private and corporate collections including Scripps Institute of Oceanography Aquarium, Tokyo Sea Life Park, and the Waterford Crystal Corporate Offices. You can’t look at a Tracy Taylor painting and not want to smile.
