This Lithograph from the Warner Bros produced cartoon series Looney Tunes is a tribute to Mel Blanc (1908-1989), the voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and other animated characters, and his son, Noel Blanc, who took over his father's role when Mel retired. The popular animated cartoon ran series in theaters from 1929 to 1970. Warner Bros continued to develop a cast of memorable characters like the wise cracking Bugs Bunny, the lisping Daffy Duck, and the stuttering Porky Pig are some to emerge from the cartoon series. The popularity of Looney Tunes further grew when the series began airing on network television in the 1950's. Warner Bros also made several feature films and television specials, mostly starring Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck, including the 1996 feature Space Jam.
