The Strip (2001) by Waldemar Swierzy (1931-2013) is a Limited Edition Hand Pulled Lithograph Print on Museum Quality Deckle Edge Paper Numbered in Sequence out of a total Edition Size of only 500 Hand Signed by the Artist. This Lithograph was created on a rare antique Marinoni Voirin French press that dates back to the 1800's, which provides highly pigmented inks that will resist fading and preserve the integrity of the print for more than a lifetime. This process is the most elaborate, costly and effective way to reproduce art while maintaining the brilliance and accuracy of the original creation. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity. The Polish Artist Waldemar Swierzy, most famous for his poster art that won countless awards and had his work shown internationally. He produced over 2,500 posters, many of which have sold over a million copies. Waldemar Swierzy also designed the artwork for the Polish pavilions at the International Fairs in New York, Leipzig, Vienna, Poznan and Casablanca. His Jazz Greats series of famous American jazz artists was so well received, they were reissued as signed lithographs. The art of Waldemar Swierzy are part of the permanent collections of the MoMA in New York, the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg, the Staatliche Museum in Berlin, the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, and many other galleries.
